As some of you may know, I am a Filipino Citizen currently lives in Japan. My dream is to travel the world as much as I can to know more about the culture, get to taste their mouth watering foods, discover their nature's beauty, their language and many more. Honestly speaking, Taiwan wasn't on my list of countries to travel to. But as when I was looking for visa-free countries for Philippines Passport holders, I saw the name of Taiwan which was currently having a visa-free offer to the Filipinos. When I first saw it, I don't know what hit me but I started getting interested with this country. I looked for their famous attractions or tourist spots and what their food is, and that was when I found the eagerness of me to travel to this country. So yes, Taiwan is already on my bucket list and finally got the chance to tick it off!
How much does the plane ticket cost?
I looked for our ticket through Google Flights, there, you can find cheap tickets from any airlines available to travel to the country you are searching for an it is easy to use. You can also track the ticket fares for your upcoming trip and you will get notified through e-mail.
I got a cheap ticket for Taiwan via Scoot Airlines. This airlines is a budget travel friendly airlines but has a very good service. I really loved this airline and how accommodating they are. I got our roundtrip ticket for 25,312 JPY/person. It is very easy to book especially when you don't have a credit/debit card, you can pay it via Convenience stores. (CONVENIENCE STORE AVAILABLE IN JAPAN ONLY)
Where to book a hotel?
I booked our hotel at Taipei, Taiwan via Booking.com. MOSHAMANLA Hotel is just near the train station and there are many food stalls, milk tea shops, etc. around the hotel so you won't have a hard time looking for place to eat. We stayed here for 4d3n and we paid for 14,769JPY with free breakfast buffet. The hotel that we stayed in was just a few minutes walk to the famous Ximending Night Market.

We only stayed at the hotel for 2D1N since our return flight to Tokyo is 06:40 am which we need to be at the airport by atleast 03:00 am or something. So on our 3rd day, we just asked the front staff if we can just leave our things at the lobby and we'll claim it at night.
Unlimited pass and wifi...
I bought our Unlimited 3-Day pass and wifi at klook. The Unlimited Fun Pass is worth it because for just 6,595 JPY we already saved a lot of money. Why? Because it combines attractions and transportation for one great value ticket. We got to enjoy some top tourist attractions that has an entrance fee, had unlimited rides on Taipei MRT, city buses, and Taiwan Tourist Shuttle routes.
Of course travelling without wifi is kinda scary. Why? Because I can't travel without google maps to know what transportation should I use, what time does the train/bus leaves, and how long does it take for me to get into my destination. So for less hassle on our trip, I decided to book our wifi in advance still via klook. It only cost 696 JPY good for 4 days.

Did you know?
Did you know that there is a free use of shower room in Taoyuan International Airport? Yes, you read it right! It is literally free especially if you have a towel and some toiletries with you. But worry not, if you really need to take a shower and you don't have a towel, you can rent one for 500 NTD.
How did I knew about it? Well obviously on our 3rd day, we have already checked out on our hotel and just went back after our tour for our things at the lobby then went straight to the airport. Since it was summer when we arrived to Taiwan, we felt so untidy so after checking in on the baggage counter at the airport we headed straight to the lounge to take a quick shower to freshen up. Hope this helps!
