Wow sa Siargao!

From the Region of Caraga, Province of Surigao del Norte, Siargao is slowly becoming well-known not just in the Philippines but also around the world.
Siargao, a teardrop-shaped small island, is known as the Surfing Capital of the Philippines. Last 2019, the island of Siargao was named by Conde Nast Traveler readers as the best island in the world.

We went to Siargao last December 15, 2019 and supposedly, our flight back to Clark was December 19, 2019. Unfortunately, our booked returning flight was cancelled due to a bad weather in Siargao. It was raining the whole day that is why we were rebooked to December 22, 2019.
For me, Siargao is the best place to live if you are tired of the city life. The best place to reconnect with nature, experience the simple island life, to disconnect from the exhausting world that you have, and to meet new people who probably has the same reason as you have.

If you are planning to travel to Siargao, I suggest that you don't book a December flight because it is the island's rainy season and you may not be able to fully enjoy your trip. Plus non-stop brownout if the rain is too strong.
The best time to travel to Siargao is from July-November for those whose main agenda is to surf. Meanwhile, for non-surfers, it is best to travel during March-September are the ideal months to book a trip to Siargao for the weather is sunny and the waters are clearer. If you want to watch the famous Siargao International Surfing Cup which is done annually, September would be ideal.
